Plot decoder
Point your camera at a plot with the four corner targets, or use a photo. For a piece with corner targets only, scan its settings label first, then the front. The whole page needs to be in the frame, flat, in even light.
No marks or label? Try the experimental reader
Less accurate and reliable than marked or labelled decoding. Tested on stitch charts and Truchet arcs; suggested text may be wrong, especially with blur, shadows or inaccurate corners.
Pick the pattern, load a photo, then tap the four outer corners of the drawing grid, not the paper: top-left, top-right, bottom-right, bottom-left. Include the grid border; leave out captions. Keep the drawing upright.
Count the stitches or tiles if you can; it makes a bad tap far more forgiving.
Automatic scattered-seed search covers 0–4000. Other patterns and layouts may not read.
To correct one corner, choose its button and tap its new position on the photo.
Reads plots from the purloined plot studio, the cipher garden and the signal book with machine marks on, including retrofit marks plotted onto a finished sheet afterwards. Nothing leaves your phone: photos are read on the device. Encoders from Unravel the Purloined at commit dev. Classical ciphers are historical puzzles, not modern security.
